Although it has been quite a while, here is another poem.

Konnichiwa Tomodachi’s,

How are you all? are you melting as much as I am in this heat?! Today is ridiculously HOT!!! I AM PRACTICALLY DYING! I do appreciate the warmer weather and do not want to seem ungrateful especially considering how cold it was in the winter… but DAMN! This sweltering heat is seriously drying me out! How often does a writer need to write to be considered a ‘serious writer’?

Hello Tomodachi’s,

It seems, every time I post on my blog I do it so sporadically. I am not doing it on purpose, I swear! It is just sometimes I have trouble coming up with a good topic to write about. So in order not to bore my readers, I end up not writing at all. I would rather write about something a little interesting or share something that I actually enjoy with my audience instead of writing something for the sake of writing. In my opinion, it is far worse than not writing anything at all, when there is no topic to speak of. Do you not agree?

Anyway, I have been keeping myself locked away in my mind for quite some time now, and have been thinking a little about my writing hobby and writing career. Basically my writing future. I have been wondering how many times a writer must write to be considered a dedicated, serious and good writer? I have heard of writers who write almost every second of every day. I have heard of writers who write a page or two per day to keep up their craft. I have heard of some who write every other day. And I have even heard of those who write as sporadically as I do. However, the million dollar question is: when is it considered overdoing it and when is it considered being too lax when writing is concerned?

I am aware that everyone is different and everyone does things differently, but what is considered a good balance for writing? I always wondered about these kinds of questions? Am I not a good and serious writer if I do not put pen to paper at least once every day or every other day? Granted, I am mostly writing as a hobby, but it does not make me any less serious than a writer who writes every day of his or her life, does it? I would really like to hear your opinions on this.

Happy Mother’s Day to mothers all around the world!

Hello Tomodachi’s,

How are you all doing?  Although this post is a little late, it is still Mother’s Day and therefore still relevant. So, Happy Mother’s Day first off to my very own mother, as well as to all those soon-to-be-mothers, new mothers, mothers who have adopted or mothers who have been doing their thang for as long as they can remember.  Continue reading

I took part in a photo shoot.

Hey Tomodachi’s,

How are you all doing? I am doing alright. Nothing major is happening in my life besides the possibility of getting a job as a masseuse if everything goes according to plan. Not to mention, I did not even realise that yesterday made exact 2 years since I started my Angie’s Inspiration blog. It was my blogging anniversary and I would have continued not to know if I did not see WordPress’ notification. Although it is belated ‘Yay me!’.  Continue reading

A year older and hopefully a year wiser…

Hello, hello, hello Tomodachi’s!

I know it has been quite a while since I last posted anything on my blog and I am sorry for that, but I just needed some time to myself. A couple of stressful things had been going on in my life that I kind of needed to sort out and come to terms with but life goes on nonetheless.

On this blessed Friday evening, I make 27 years old and as I get older I do hope I also get wiser because no one wants to be around and an old fool… That was a joke… You can laugh now. Lol

Anyway, on this day after not blogging for quite some time, I leave you all with a poem called ‘No Money’ because one way or another we have all been through this (situation). Enjoy!

No money

God only knows

How many times I’ve uttered those words:

“Sorry, I’ve got no money

Sorry, I’ve got no money

Sorry I’ve got no MONEY.”

With hands buried deep in my pockets

Forming into fists

I utter these disgraceful words

That chain me down like a prisoner.

Before, I used to fight against these chains

Like a stubborn mule fighting against the pull of its owner

But now I just give in

Because at this moment, there is just no helping it.

As someone gleeful comes and asks me

To ‘join them’ in eating, playing or traveling

Before their long winding requests and desires can leave their lips

I can already hear myself uttering those disgraceful words

“Sorry I’ve got no money.”

I utter these words not only in shame

But also in pity because of my helplessness:

Sorry I’ve got no money

Sorry I’ve got no money

Sorry I’ve got no money…

However, though for now all I can say is: “Sorry I’ve got no money”

I am building myself and working towards that day

Where I can confidently say: “Yes, let’s go. I’ve got money.”

Baby Toucan Book Giveaway

Hello Tomodachi’s,

How are you all doing this blessed Monday evening? Today I will be sharing with you all a video regarding a book giveaway that I am hosting for my Baby Toucan picture book.

As I mentioned many times on my blog, before and leading up to the publication of my book, this picture book talks about adoption. The first story is told from Mama and Papa Toucan’s perspective and will later be told from Baby Toucan’s perspective as the story continues since this will be a book series of about 7 books.
