Such a great poem!

Hello yet again everyone! There wasn’t that much time that passed between the last blog post I published last night and this one.

Also, it’s finally Friday which means time to relax and unwind… not. I have quite some work I have cut out for me to do over the weekend.

Anyway, today is my Writing Related Fridays and I just wanted to post something I came across a few days ago. It is a video of a poem being read by poet, Kayla Q, and I have to say what a powerful message and intense poem that was! I was so surprised myself. I can sometimes be a little critical when it comes to poetry and writing related work when I start to really get serious. Even more so with my own writing. But she was great, I have to admit. The girl who wanted to be white…

Hey there. It’s finally Friday (well almost early Saturday morning)! Hurray! Well, anyway… Though the year had just started is pretty much already mid-February. Time flies! No kidding. Before we turn around and blink it will be the end of the year again. Gosh!

Anyway, I can imagine that almost everyone knows that the month of February is Black History Month, right?  Today is my Writing Related Fridays and I wanted to share a poem to commemorate that, although it ends somewhat sadly. I believe it also resonates well with my post from yesterday where I wrote that black people should also be proud of their blackness. You have nothing to be ashamed about. You were (and all humans were) made beautifully regardless of what anyone else says and we should stand proud. Continue reading

We black people should be proud of our blackness too!

Hello friends! How are you all doing? It’s almost Friday! Are you ready for the weekend? I sure am! 🙂 I cannot wait for the weekend to get here.

Anyway, today I just wanted to write a brief post and dispel the negativity I have been seeing lately from my mind and chest. Recently, I have been hearing (well actually reading) a lot about of what happened during the Superbowl’s 50 halftime for Beyoncé’s performance. Take a look at the video below. Continue reading

Spiral of Silence Syndrome

Konnichiwa tomodachi! (Hello friends!) Today is yet another late minute post 😛 Are you ready to go on another opinionated Wednesday journey? Well hop on board! This week I wanted to talk about a video I came across just last week. It is about a dog who’s face was almost completely eaten away by maggots because of some fool who probably did not want to take of him anymore and abandoned him. Thankfully the animal shelter saved his life.

Anyway, I am going to warn you from now that what you are about to see is a bit… repulsive and graphic. So, if you cannot stomach looking at disgusting things such as maggots, gore and rotting flesh etc. please do not watch this video. You have been warned! For those of you who can stomach such things please go ahead and take a look at this video.  Continue reading

I’ve finally made 50!

Konnichiwa minnaaaaa! Hello my wonderful followers and readers. TGIF! Did you enjoy your week? Do you have plans for the weekend? I am doing fine as usual. I am a very simple person. I do not need much. Just food. I love to eat, lol!

Thank you so much for following me and sticking with me until now. I know I can be somewhat very last minute, I can sometimes be unreliable and spontaneous, but you have all stuck around even with all my quirks. So, that must mean that most or even some of you like what I have written thus far. Thank you so much for sticking around and I will be looking forward to still having you around in the future! 😀

I finally made 50 (Well actually 53 but…) and I do not mean in age. That would be another 25 years before I hit the big 5 0. Continue reading

Where are you REALLY from?

Hello everyone. It is Wednesday again and that means another dose of my opinion. Sorry (not!) 🙂 Anyway I hope you have enjoyed your day so far. On my end the day is almost over but oh well.

Anyway, today I came across a comic image of an Australian person asking someone of another race where they came from. When the person answers, the questioner is not satisfied with his answer apparently and asks him again. However, when the question is asked to them they look surprised and shocked (Or is that anger? I am not sure…) Take a look at the comic strip below. Continue reading
