I’ll be Speaking on the Chocolate City Radio again!

Hello people of the world! Lol. I am writing today because yesterday I did not have the time to write anything because I finished my internship pretty late traveled back home from Amsterdam with transportation. Then my roommate had Norwegian family friends visiting the house to who I spoke to for quite some time before they left and later ate some food. By the time I’m done I had totally forgot to write a post. Sorry, Gomen de (ごめんで)… Continue reading

A short video to sum up my summer vacation

Hello! Today is supposed to be my What I do with my life and The things I like Sundays and so to make up for not being able to post the short video of my summer vacation on time last week I will be posting it today instead. After all I do love Saba! No matter how small it may be. It is and forever will be my home. Anyway, I tried making the pictures change according to the beat of the music but with not much success, I know. This is probably not one of my best videos nonetheless this is the first video that I have made in quite some time so I hope you still somewhat like it. Take care and see you next time. We shall meet under the sun!

We shall meet under the sunKonnichiha (‘ha’ is pronounced as ‘wa’ in Japanese) my lovely followers and readers! Today is my Writing Related and Summer Vacation Fridays ( though I am no longer on summer vacation anymore) and it is my third day since returning to the Netherlands. I would like to share a poem with you all to mark my leaving Saba. This poem is called We Shall Meet Under the Sun. It is basically making a promise to see my beautiful island and my family and friends residing on Saba again next time, whenever that next time will be. Though it probably will be sooner rather than later.

A good friend of mine who I allowed to read my poem, about almost 2 years ago, said it sounded to her like I was writing a suicide note, lol. 😀 Do not worry. It is not anything like that. I’m still alive, right?! Lol. This is just a poem about a person and friend, who is leaving their loved one(s) behind but yet at the same time promising to someday meet again under the sun, wherever that sun may be shinning. It’s been one month since I have returned home

mango treeHello, ohayo, buenos dias, bon dia, bonjour, goedemorgen! How is everyone? Are you all doing well? I am fine as always 😛

I just got back home a couple hours ago from Jouvert Morning which usually starts at four in the morning, but I left home a little later and it stopped at around 7.30 am. I mentioned on Wednesday that this whole week has been Carnival week and it is almost coming to a close where Saturday and Sunday is the final parades where people dress up in costumes and dance around the capital, The Bottom.

Anyway, I wanted to make a blog post yesterday but due to the internet not working properly I was unable to post a anything, so I’ll be doing that today. Today is the 1st of August and it has been a month and a few days since I returned home on vacation. Continue reading

My Summer Vacation: Part 1

Hello everyone! Just as promised here is a blog post about my summer vacation during the short time I have been back. Again I have been having problems with my phone. When I’m trying to send photos from my phone to my computer it always gives me problems mostly because of the sucky internet connection and only when it wants to work it works. Below are just a few pictures I took that I still managed to send to my computer.

First arriving on saba Continue reading

It has been a week since I have returned home!

Konnichiha minna! Are you all doing well? I am doing okay. It has been exactly one week since I have returned back home on vacation and yes I already have a summer job and started working since last week Wednesday. It is now 10 at night (6 hours behind the Netherlands) over here and I’m trying to write a blog post about how everything has been for me in this past week, but things are not going as I want. The internet literally sucks and trying to send pictures from my photo gallery on my phone to my computer is not working all that it’s really starting to aggravate and frustrate me. I’m probably a few minutes away from flinging my phone against a wall. But I can’t because both of my parents are in bed trying to sleep.

Coconuts cut and peeled

I was, however, able to send only four pictures to myself on my computer which is such a pity because I took quite a lot of pictures on my phone during the past week. Continue reading
