Another Poetry and Music

Hello, everyone. I bring you another Sound Cloud poetry reading I like to call Poetry and Music. I posted my first Poetry and Music reading about three to four weeks ago and thought it has been long enough for me to do another reading.

Although the poem I am reading, Friend…less, has already been posted on my blog some time ago, I decided to do a reading alongside music that I thought best fit with my poem. This poem can also be found in my published poetry book, I’m Only Human. I hope you liked it and I will see you all again next time. Take care.

Valley of Tears

Bon Dia, readers! It just occurred to me that I have been posting less and less of my own poems and writing on my blog, although that was my initial intentions when I first created my blog. Well these things happen sometimes…

Anyway, today I just wanted to try something slightly different than usual, as you will see if you click on the link below. Today’s Writing Related Friday’s post is a short poem I completed a couple of weeks ago. It started with me writing only one sentence of the poem some months back, but at the time I could not think of anything else to write to complete it. I just did not know what else to write during that time. I can imagine that sort of thing could happen to the best of us.

However, I finally managed to complete the rest of the poem about a month ago which made me really happy and I have been wanted to share it with you all for a while now. If you do not mind could you also like and please let me know what you think of it? I would be more than happy to read your comments in the comment section below. Take care and have a nice day, until my next post. 🙂

Valley of Tears

In this world, I am quite lonely,

But I wonder if you would even care?

As I wallow in my sadness,

And wallow in my despair,

I do not ask for your pity,

That I would not be able to bear,

I only ask of you to please, don’t let me drown

In this never-ending valley of tears.

‘A Good Day’ by Kait Rokowski

Hello everyone… TGIF! How are you all this nice Saturday evening? I enjoyed it watching anime as per usual 😛

Anyway, I apologise for not posting yesterday so I’ll try to making up for it today. Today I am posting a poem I came across and found very interesting and heartfelt. The poem is called ‘A Good Day’ and was written by poet Kait Rokowski. She read this poem during a Button Poetry reading. Continue reading

Butterfly

Bon Nochi!! (Papiamento -> Good night) I hope you all are doing better than I am. I came down with the cold again and had a rough night where I could not sleep due to my pretty bad sore throat, coughing and throwing up in between little naps. (I think I may also be getting an allergic reaction to some peppers) Hopefully, I will have a better night today. Anyway, that is enough about me… Continue reading

A poem on Immigration

Hello all! TGIF (Thank God It’s Friday!)! I came across a video on my Facebook news feed a few days ago and upon watching it I realised it was a poem talking about immigration. It  was beautifully written and read by Deasy Bamford whose video became viral almost overnight after posting it. Continue reading

“A Letter to My Unborn Daughter”- Javon Johnson

Hello everyone! Today is my Writing Related Fridays and so today I decided to take a look at some poetry on YouTube from others poets. I came across this very interesting, sweet and very funny poem (letter) from poet Javon Johnson. I do not even know Javon Johnson but he has now become my all time favourite with just this one poem. It immediately warmed my heart and I fell in love with it. I think it’s a beautiful poem/ letter. Take a look at the video below and please let me know if you also think that this is such a great, beautiful poem.

Anyway, I hope you all are doing well. Take care and have a great day! 🙂
