My Weekend at a Book Publishing Seminar

Hello all. Are you doing well? Sorry for the late post for most of the day I was hanging out with a friend that I have not seen in a year and we were catching up. I did not expect for us to hang out together for as long as we did but it was really nice seeing her again after quite some time. Anyway, today is my All About Me Sundays and I just wanted to briefly talk about my experience after attending a book publishing seminar.  Continue reading

A poem on Immigration

Hello all! TGIF (Thank God It’s Friday!)! I came across a video on my Facebook news feed a few days ago and upon watching it I realised it was a poem talking about immigration. It  was beautifully written and read by Deasy Bamford whose video became viral almost overnight after posting it. Continue reading

Equal rights also includes equal slaps.

Hello friends, followers and readers! I am back to posting this nice Wednesday afternoon again.

Today is my Opinionated Wednesdays and I wanted to write a brief blog post about women who feel the need to slap men (and others) if they do get their way. However, once the slap is returned their feelings get hurt. Here is my suggestion to such women who do these sort of things: DO NOT GO AROUND SLAPPING OR HITTING OTHERS IF YOU CANNOT TAKE BACK THE SLAP OR HIT. If you can dish out you should also be able to take it.  Continue reading

Exploring Rotterdam on a lazy Sunday afternoon

Hello everyone! 😀 Did you all have a nice Sunday? I sure did!

Sunday afternoon I had a great time spending with my good singer/ song writer friend of mine, Vangelis (please visit and like his Facebook page to give him some love) in the city of Rotterdam. We met up at the Central Station and walked to a fancy looking restaurant, La Buvette, where live music was being performed by a promising Dutch Jazz singer/ song writer Maya Christina accompanied with her band. The atmosphere was really relaxing and cozy and the music that played was quite enjoyable. We ordered a little lunch and took some pictures and just enjoyed the comfy restaurant atmosphere.

Furthermore, (unknown to me) the jazz performance was a performance done for the North Sea Round Town that is currently going on in Rotterdam. This is an event that will be occurring this and next week where musicians will be performing for free around Rotterdam until the final night where popular musicians/ singers from all over the world (I think) will be attending. And of course that particular night must be paid for by the attendees. Or so I was told. I do not know anything about it, so I cannot really go much in detail about it…

We later walked around and my friend took me to see The Markthal that I have personally never heard of but apparently it is quite a popular building. Which rock have I been living under, lol… The Markethal was quite a huge building  with nice art of fruit and vegetables drawn on the ceiling. It was a type of market venue that had a variety of restaurants and shops inside. It was quite impressive. I do not think I have seen anything like it. Once inside my friend showed me around the building and we went into a restaurant to sip on some nice coconut cendol as we watched people walk below us and chatted away. It was a nice experience.

Anyway, I just wanted to share a little something about myself since I do not do this so often. Thank you for reading and don’t forget to also show me some love by liking and following me on my social media pages (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Google Plus). Take care!

“A Letter to My Unborn Daughter”- Javon Johnson

Hello everyone! Today is my Writing Related Fridays and so today I decided to take a look at some poetry on YouTube from others poets. I came across this very interesting, sweet and very funny poem (letter) from poet Javon Johnson. I do not even know Javon Johnson but he has now become my all time favourite with just this one poem. It immediately warmed my heart and I fell in love with it. I think it’s a beautiful poem/ letter. Take a look at the video below and please let me know if you also think that this is such a great, beautiful poem.

Anyway, I hope you all are doing well. Take care and have a great day! 🙂

Saturday’s Anime con

Hello everyone! Just like I did last year I just wanted to post my most recent experience at an anime convention at the World Forum in The Hague. I started my day off at 6.30 in the morning. Yes, you heard right! I woke up 6.30 on a Saturday morning which was the first time I ever woke up so early on a Saturday morning. I was amazed. Anyway, I began to get ready to go to the convention about around almost 12. I prepared sandwiches, some fruit and drinks because I was money-less and was not able to buy anything. Besides, I only had 3 euros in my pocket and the food and snacks at the anime convention is usually very expensive, so a few euros would have definitely not been able to sustain me for the whole day at the convention. No way. Continue reading
