WhatisAngieuptoMondays: Getting a chance to speak a little broken Japanese

Hey, everyone! How are you all? I apologise for the quite late blog post. It was due to some unexpected events that occurred, alongside slow working internet or no internet at all. My apologies

Anyway, if you follow at least one of my social media you would know that yesterday I was quite ecstatic when I was able to communicate with them a little bit in Japanese. As some of you may already know, I am a big fan of everything Japanese: Japanese culture, their language and their entertainment. And to be able to speak Japanese face to face with a couple of real Japanese was like a dream come true for me. I do not think I have ever been so excited like this in a long time that I could feel my heart beating in my chest. Yes, I was that excited and happy!  Continue reading

WritingRelatedFridays: Being told to ‘Man up’

Heyyyy, all you lovely people. How are you doing? I am doing quite well actually. I am just getting used to my au pair job. It has been about a week since I officially started working as the family’s au pair. Sometimes it can be both fun and frustrating at the same time. Oh well… Continue reading

Thoughtsoftheday: Some laws and rules were meant to be broken.

Hello, everyone and good evening to you all. Today’s Thoughts of the Day is: It is sometimes okay for us to break certain unjustifiable rules and laws that go against the betterment of people’s lives. Sometimes it is necessary for people to break rules and laws when you know deep down  something is wrong. Even, if the masses are against you and you are standing alone, you would still be willing to fight for what you believe in. Continue reading

WhatisAngieuptoMondays: I had quite a productive weekend.

Hello, new readers and readers who have stuck around with me for some time until now, good evening and welcome. How was your weekend? Was your weekend as productive as mine? Honestly, my weekend has been quite productive if I do say so myself. More  productive than it has ever been in a long time. Not to mention, I am now working as an au pair (YAY!) and after that job I had to travel by train to attend volleyball practice on late Friday afternoon in preparation for the sports day occurring the next day.

WritingRelatedFridays: An inspirational quote (tip) for aspiring writers

Hello, everyone and good evening to you all. My Writing Related Fridays post is going to be especially short today. I just wanted to place this quote here for all my aspiring fellow poets, writers and bloggers out there. Read the quote below and please let it sink in:

“Don’t try to figure out what other people want to hear from you; figure out what you have to say. It’s the one and only thing you have to offer.”
– Barbara Kingsolver

Even as a writer, I must keep this in mind as well. I believe that this is because once you try to figure out what you think someone might want to hear, you lose your originality and what makes you different from the rest.

Honestly, anyone can become a writer. It greatly depends on how much is their desire to write and what you have to offer.

Thoughtsoftheday: Trying New Things

The Thoughts of the Day this wonderful Wednesday evening is trying new things. It is always good to try new things and get out of one’s comfort zone. If we remain in our comfort zones we will never grow. Although at times it is good to specialise in a particular field however for self-growth it also requires change. We cannot expect to move forward if we remain in the same spot. In the end, we will become stagnant and no one wants that, right?

As I write, I am also trying to get out of my comfort zone because I am trying to explore what it means to be an entrepreneur (for my brand Angie’s Inspiration). It is an area that I do not particularly enjoy because I am a creative person after all. 😀

I am also venturing into  designing some of my own artwork and putting them on apparel. So, check out my Threadless Artist Shop to see what I have got so far. And if you think my art designs interests you enough to buy them, then feel free to also do so.

So, next time you think of trying something new that is not within your comfort zone, give it a go! You would be surprised with how much you can learn and how much you can grow by trying new things. Take care and have a nice day.
