What are your thoughts on charity organisations? I came across this sponsored Facebook Ad from the World Food Programme and it just rubbed me the wrong way.
Racism is not “back” it has always been here.
Well, I guess welcome to 2020 where it is cool to be blatantly racist again towards black and brown people! These types of people were always there to begin with but many of them are now getting upset because many places and companies are required to be diverse and so now they are throwing a hissy fit by seeing a few black people modelling. While we black folk have been seeing white faces all day, every day and on every entertainment platform you can imagine. But a couple of black people are used as models and all hell breaks loose. So, now there is suddenly a problem?…

Nothing grinds my gear more than hearing someone say “why does everything have to be about race?” If you truly believe that everything in this world does not involve race and [in many cases religion] then you are either:
- Completely blind to other’s plights;

It does not affect you so you do not want to know or do not care to know;

You are in denial.
Why are some black people hating on their own skin colour?
Hello! How y’all doin’? Today is my Opinion Wednesdays yet again! And today I wanted to talk about some black people who make the decision to use whitening creams. I came across a video on Facebook a couple of days ago and I cannot say that I was surprised that people are using whitening creams to become white or fairer. I’m just a little surprised that they truly believe that their darker skin has anything to do with their self worth and if they are aware of how much money they are practically pouring down the drain for a product that will not even make them permanently white or fairer? Don’t they realise that no matter how many times they apply these products on their skin they will still FOREVER be black because once they stop using these products they will return to their original colour!
