Why are some black people hating on their own skin colour?

Hello! How y’all doin’? Today is my Opinion Wednesdays yet again! And today I wanted to talk about some black people who make the decision to use whitening creams. I came across a video on Facebook a couple of days ago and I cannot say that I was surprised that people are using whitening creams to become white or fairer. I’m just a little surprised that they truly believe that their darker skin has anything to do with their self worth and if they are aware of how much money they are practically pouring down the drain for a product that will not even make them permanently white or fairer? Don’t they realise that no matter how many times they apply these products on their skin they will still FOREVER be black because once they stop using these products they will return to their original colour! So Why! Continue reading

I’m currently watching Tenshi na Konamaiki (Cheeky Angel)

Hello everyone! How did you all spend your weekend? Today is my Things that I like/ What I am doing with my life Sundays. I just wanted to mention that I am currently watching an anime called Tenshi na Konamaiki. I have been on a roll of watching all kinds of anime, from Ushio to Tora ( older and newer version of the anime), Death Note, and Bakuman although I am also currently watching this anime too alongside Tenshi na Konamaiki.

Anyway, Tenshi na Konamaiki is basically an anime about a 9 year old boy, Megumi, who acquires a mysterious and magical book from a man he saves. The boy is a little injured and his blood touches the book which to the boy and his best friend’s (a girl) surprise a genie (but it looks more like a clown) comes out inquiring what the boy wishes for. This boy wishes to become more manly, ‘A man within a man and the manliest man in the world’. However, the genie is quite evil and has a twisted sense of humour. Instead of turning the boy into a manly man he turns the boy into the most beautiful girl instead. Continue reading

I am a DC Pearls Nominee!

Hello everyone! Although, it is no longer Friday, I would like to share some news with you, my blog followers and readers. A Phenomenal Woman

Konnichiha minna! Today is my Writing Related Fridays and I would like to share with you one of my favourite poems written by Maya Angelou herself. Though she is no longer with us, she will forever live in our hearts through her poetry. I aspire to be somewhat like her ,where one day my poetry can also be just as inspiring and great as hers were.

She was and continues to be a phenomenal woman to this day. Something I strive for every day. I hope you all had a great week and I will see you all next time. Take care! 🙂 Continue reading

The world has become such a superficial and fickle place…

Hello everyone. How is everyone today? I am doing alright. I do not have much of anything to complain about. The last half of today I finally started my first day of my placement for my final year of college at a company called Spotzer Media. I will be their Social Media Intern until the next six months. I had school in the morning and later caught the train and went directly to my job from two until a little after 5.30 pm. I’ll be working Thursday and Friday as well and trying to finish some of my assignments. So my work is sort of cut out for me. We’ll see how everything goes.

Anyway, today is my Opinion Wednesdays and I wanted to talk about a video I saw on Facebook of Cristiano Ronaldo being dressed as a homeless man while playing soccer in the streets of Barcelona. Please watch the video below. Continue reading

I am in LOVE with Japanese anime!

Hello, all of you lovely people! Did you enjoy your weekend? Are you ready for the start of a brand new week? Today is my What I love/ What I do with my life Sundays. Today I would like to talk about my love for Japanese anime. Yes, I am an Otaku as the Japanese call it, known as nerd. Although to the Japanese it is considered an insult for us anime lovers in the Western countries it is a very proud fact!

To be honest when I was younger, like around 9 or 10 years old, I have always liked watching anime although at the time I was not aware it was Japanese anime until much, much later on. However, I just watched anime in those times because they were comedic and entertaining, not that it was an obsession.
