How is everyone doing? If you can tell by the title of this post today is Saba Day and it is one of the few reasons to celebrate today. And my way of celebrating my island’s day is doing what I do best and that is, of course, writing poetry.

How is everyone? We are around that time of the year where Christmas is right around the corner and everyone is getting giddy and excited about Christmas. Well, in the case of the Dutch they are getting ready to first celebrate Zwarte Piet. And what do you know? There is actually racism in the Netherlands even though they try really hard to portray themselves as tolerant. But what do you know, they really were not tolerant at all especially when it came to their racist tradition.

I guess this last week has been quite the poetic week for me. I am glad that I am getting inspiration to write now because I was starting to think I somehow lost my inspiration and motivation to write. But I guess not quite.

How are you all doing these days with regards to the pandemic, the elections, life in general? I hope that life is good to you wherever you are in this world. Enjoy the big things in life as well as the little things that come along and make you smile because they are just as important.
