Book Giveaway for two of my most favourite comments

Hey Tomodachi’s,

Good evening to all you lovely people near and far. How are you all doing this lovely Friday evening? I am doing good right this very moment because I not too long ago finished work. Most of the time I have the evening shifts so I do not always get the opportunity to leave work early. Though, I have to work the entire weekend never mind that for now.

Anyways, rarely do I post videos of myself because of my jittery nerves. This time around I did because of the book giveaway I decided on doing. Please, take a look at the video below and start sending your messages and comments now via any of my social media pages or email address which can be found on my Contact Form page of this blog with the hashtag #angiesinspirationbirthday2018 Take care and have a great day!

My Frozen Heart

Hello Tomodachi’s,

Happy belated International Women’s Day! I hope that all you wonderful women of the world enjoyed your day yesterday. And on a second note, Happy Birthday to my dear older brother, Cornelius. I hope you are healthy and doing well.

Today I will be posting a poem I recently wrote called My Frozen Heart. I have not posted any poetry or any of my writing on my blog for several months because, honestly, I have been lacking in the creativity department for quite some time. Though it has been a while, I hope you enjoy this very simple poem about when a person’s heart turns cold for many reasons and circumstances they more than likely have no control over.

If you have any comments about it please feel free to write me because I would love to hear your commentaries and criticisms, if there is any. Enjoy and until next time! Take care and have a great day!

My Frozen Heart

My heart used to be so warm,

But now it has turned so cold.

It was frozen over by time,

Frozen by this unforgiving, cold world.

Do I regret it?

Maybe I do, Maybe I don’t,

But there is no longer any hurt

So in the end, I guess, maybe I won’t.

Will my heart ever beat again?

Maybe it won’t, maybe it might,

But after looking at my frozen but beautifully protected heart

I cannot help but think inspite of myself, ‘Oh what a beautiful sight…

I went ice skating 6 years after my first try

Hey Tomodachi’s ,

How are you this wonderful Monday evening? I am currently at work as I write this but I am doing alright. I am doing okay on this side of the world. It can always be better but then that would be me only focussing on the negative which I do not want to do right now. Is everything going well for you?

Anyway, I just wanted to briefly write about my second experience of trying out ice scaring. Though it I cannot ice skate to save my life it was still fun trying it out for the second time around.

When I had first came to the Netherlands in 2010 I went ice skating and it was quite the experience for me. I had gone with some new friends I had met that year and I had such a blast that for a long time I wanted to go back again but had never really gotten the chance to go. And then before I new it winter would had already past. This had gone on for several years until I finally decided to go for it this year. No matter how busy or preoccupied I may become I wanted to go. The reason for that being some time this year I intend to return home to my island and this could be my last chance to try all the things I want to before that time comes.

So I made my decision to go skating when I saw a limited time event being advertised on Facebook. After finishing my work in Rotterdam I hopped on a tram and went to the skating ring. Though this time around I was alone, which did not matter to me in the least, it was still very enjoyable.

I hope you liked this post and I hope to see you all next time.

Happy very belated anniversary to me on my second published book!

Hello Tomodachi’s

How are you wonderful people doing this freezing winter cold Friday? I do not know if it is also ridiculously cold on your side of the world but on my side I am freezing my bunions off at the moment.

Anyway, though it has been a while since I last posted, I just wanted to briefly share with you all that a few days ago I realised that on the February 15th it made a year since I published my children’s picture book, Baby Toucan. I had totally forgotten about that until I received an email from my publishers congratulating me about it.

Well, thank you Xlibris for the reminder but you happen to be a little over two week late. 😂

Though the year passed so quickly that I feel like I am getting whiplash from how quickly it has gone, I am still grateful that I was able to publish my book and get to see another year.

There is nothing better than picking and eating fresh oysters with friends

Hey Tomodachi’s,

How are you all doing? I am currently at work as I write this but I am doing alright. Nothing to complain about here. 😉

Anyway, I just wanted to briefly share the fun experience I had with some friends the week before last when we all decided to go to Friesland to pick oysters. We drove for about 2 and a half hours to Friesland, went out in ridiculously cold 1-degree weather just to pick these damn oysters before getting back into the two cars we drove in for another 2 and a half hours back to the Netherlands. We spent about 5 hours in total on the road just to get a couple buckets full of oysters. 😅

I think it was the first time either one of us had done anything like this before but it was quite fun, picking the oysters as well as eating them.

Although we were freezing our bunions off to the point where our fingers became stiff and hurt from the cold, we had quite enjoyable doing all of this craziness with friends.

I hope you enjoyed this post. Hope you all take care and have a great day.
