Being Too Young vs. Being Experienced

Hello all you wonderful people! This week is Carnival week on Saba! Although it started since last week Saturday the official opening was on Monday. I’m enjoying myself and having fun over here. Are you have quite the awesome time yourself wherever you may be?

Anyway, on Monday I came across a story about two teenage boys that went missing off the Florida coast on Friday. They supposedly were out on their 19 foot boat to go fishing because they were boys who practically grew up in and around water. After two days the boat was found about 67 miles from Florida Ponce de Leon but the boys were not found and even now still remain missing. The reports also suggest that they were heading for Bahamas without their parents consent. So they felt comfortable and confident enough to go fishing on their own without parent supervision. And apparently their parents thought the same as well considering that they defended themselves from critics saying that they were knowledgeable and had enough experienced about the sea/ ocean to be able to be in the water. Well, I guess the two boys were not as knowledgeable and experienced about the sea/ ocean as the parents and others initially thought.

How can you tell when you are being scammed?

Hello again everyone. Today is Friday! the glorious weekend is finally in sight once again. TGIF everyone! Today I am going to talk about my experience with what I believe to be a scammer trying to scam me out of 500 euros. Let me explain.

Earlier last week while I was trying to browse the internet for potential places to live because when I return to the Netherlands I intend to move into a new place as soon as possible and before I return I must already have found a place. And the only thing I would need to worry about is moving my stuff over to the new place. Anyway, I was searching everywhere I could think of in order to find a place such as the Dutch sites Kamernet.com, Kamerstunt.com etc. I also even used the many Facebook housing groups for students (that I am signed up to used) that advertise new vacant rooms and apartments all around The Hague (the city that I am currently living in).

Knowing when to stay and when to leave.

MarriageHello everyone! How are you today? Genki desu ka? I am doing fine. Trying to manage some things in my life while on Saba, but nothing I cannot handle. If you saw my earlier post today it is My Opinion Wednesdays. Last week I went on a little ranted about what gender equality meant to me regarding the #freethenipple campaign where ‘feminists’ are trying to push for women to have rights to also bare their nipples in public just the same as men.

Since I have gotten that out of my system I will be discussing another topic with regards to a man who wants to leave his loveless marriage with his wife and be able to date and love the person of his choosing. Continue reading

My Weekly Blogging Schedule

victory signHello followers, readers and new comers. I have decided on a schedule for when and what blog posts I will be posting from now on. I have been wanting to make a schedule for quite some time so that I could bring some order to my life and the way I blog. It took me some time but I’ve finally made up my mind.

While on Saba I will try my best to make two posts a week, every Wednesday and Every Friday. Wednesdays will be My Opinion Wednesdays and Fridays will be my Writing related and Summer Vacation Summary Fridays. When I return to the Netherlands in a few weeks it will be back to posting 3 posts a week, Sundays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Sundays will be What I do with my life and The things I like Sundays. So from now on you will know exactly which days I will be posting and what themes I will be discussing on those days. I finally feel so victorious right now! I’m grinning from ear to ear. 😀

My Summer Vacation: Part 1

Hello everyone! Just as promised here is a blog post about my summer vacation during the short time I have been back. Again I have been having problems with my phone. When I’m trying to send photos from my phone to my computer it always gives me problems mostly because of the sucky internet connection and only when it wants to work it works. Below are just a few pictures I took that I still managed to send to my computer.
