Hey there. Happy Friday! I am in a nice mood today, if I do say so myself. Today I wine and dined all by my lonesome as I watched anime and I L.O.V.E.D it! Now I am feeling like a stuffed pig and can barely move because of how stuffed I am. However, I am satisfied and that is all that matters to me right now. Although I do not need to drink myself silly and fill my gut to be happy today I still did it anyway because I can, 😛 Lol. Sometimes it feels so good to be able to do as I please. Continue reading

Acid attacks
Hey ya’ll! What’s crackin’? It is another Opinionated Wednesday and today I would like to briefly discuss a topic I don’t see many people talking about out loud, acid attacks. Or maybe I could be wrong? *shrug*
Anyway, a few weeks ago I came across a BBC article which talked about a man who was dowsed in the face with acid when he opened his front door after hearing the doorbell ring. How horrifying is that!? He was so horrified with his appearance after the attack that he wanted to protect his toddler son and stayed away for 2 months. How he managed that staying in the same house, we’ll never know but why are people now going so far as disfiguring another person? Why!? Would you like someone to disfigure your face? Then why are you doing it to others? Even though this was a mistaken identity attack that is besides the point. Now a person will spend the rest of their life with their disfigured face or body. Unless you have the money to take surgery after surgery to fix some of the disfigurement which not many people have. Continue reading
Such a great poem!
Hello yet again everyone! There wasn’t that much time that passed between the last blog post I published last night and this one.
Also, it’s finally Friday which means time to relax and unwind… not. I have quite some work I have cut out for me to do over the weekend.
Anyway, today is my Writing Related Fridays and I just wanted to post something I came across a few days ago. It is a video of a poem being read by poet, Kayla Q, and I have to say what a powerful message and intense poem that was! I was so surprised myself. I can sometimes be a little critical when it comes to poetry and writing related work when I start to really get serious. Even more so with my own writing. But she was great, I have to admit. Why do people compare homosexuality with pedophilia?
Hello friends. Sorry for the very late post. I was uncertain and almost not going to make a post but decided to anyway. I’m impulsive like that.
Anyway today’s opinionated post is going to be about how so many people are trying to make a link or compare homosexuality to pedophilia. Yes, tell me about it. It’s ridiculous!… For an example of such nonsense take a look at this article written by the Huffington Post. Continue reading
Happy Valentines Day!
Hey there! So, it’s that time of the year again, Valentines Day. Around this time last year I posted a meme on Facebook of an anime character that looked a little sad/ depressed saying “Who cares about Valentines Day, give me chocolate. “Well this year my stance is : “Who cares if it’s Valentines Day and I’m single! I’m still happy and I rock!”
I wish everyone who has a companion and partner or a loved one they can spend their day with, a Happy Valentines Day. Cherish your loved ones, because life is too short and not everyone has a loved one be it a companion, a partner, a parent or a relative they can spend their day with. And for those single people, like myself, do not fret over being single. One day there will be someone who will love and dote on you and only you. That day has just not arrived as yet, but one day it will. Continue reading
The girl who wanted to be white…
Hey there. It’s finally Friday (well almost early Saturday morning)! Hurray! Well, anyway… Though the year had just started is pretty much already mid-February. Time flies! No kidding. Before we turn around and blink it will be the end of the year again. Gosh!
Anyway, I can imagine that almost everyone knows that the month of February is Black History Month, right? Today is my Writing Related Fridays and I wanted to share a poem to commemorate that, although it ends somewhat sadly. I believe it also resonates well with my post from yesterday where I wrote that black people should also be proud of their blackness. You have nothing to be ashamed about. You were (and all humans were) made beautifully regardless of what anyone else says and we should stand proud. Continue reading
