I cried

Hello everyone. How are you all? I’m still a little sick over here but I’m doing fine. Today I decided instead of making my own post I would re-blog this poem that I came across quite some time back.

When I came across this poem I immediately liked it and though I’ve gone through this same feeling of having the dams within you give way and you end up crying and feeling exhausted at the end, when you’ve literally cried yourself tired, the after feeling of relief of letting it all out into the open is the most satisfying.

I wish people and society would stop telling their young boys and men to stop crying because “They are not a girl” and to “Act like me” whatever that means. It is not healthy for anyone woman or man to hold in their emotions just because of others’ expectations. After all according to the poem:

Crying is healing and revitalizing, it is part of life.”

I cried today

I cried yesterday

I could not stem the tears

for they had been waiting years

locked somewhere deep inside

somehow they found a way

to have their say

they were not bitter

simply sad

was there pain in the tears that rained

down my cheeks, one by one

leaving  tear stains that betrayed

the sadness in my heart

I recognized the pain,

what I don’t understand is why…

norway, lofoten islands

why now ………

emotions, they are a way for the body to express feelings that have been locked away

we can hide from our”selves” for only so long, then when least expected, someone, or something touches the right button, and a door swings open.

the raw emotion of another time, place or experience comes to life and you are open and vulnerable to the lesson (challenge) you didn’t deal with before.

In life, we face a new day, every…

Much condolences to the LGBT community

Hey all! For the past few days I have come been down with the cold and was pretty much sick like a dog that I could barely get out of bed. However, today I’m feeling a lot better, (Thank Goodness!) compared to the other days although I still have a constant cough that has made my throat feel raw.

Anyway, on Tuesday I was just browsing through my Twitter news feed on my kindle and saw the news of what happened in Orlando. My condolences goes out to the LGBT community, even though there are fools like Donald Trump and others who think otherwise and tries to disregard that by saying it is a terrorist attack.Talk about calling the sky pink when in fact it’s blue… They will do anything to push their own agenda and promote Islamophobia as much as they can. How many times have other religions have bludgeoned, shunned or injured/ wounded LGBT people for the sake of their faith and God or because they just do not like them for their sexuality? But yet we choose to focus on the fact that the shooter this time was probably a Muslim or has connections  to ISIS. Hah, how predictable is that! Continue reading

Saturday’s Anime con

Hello everyone! Just like I did last year I just wanted to post my most recent experience at an anime convention at the World Forum in The Hague. I started my day off at 6.30 in the morning. Yes, you heard right! I woke up 6.30 on a Saturday morning which was the first time I ever woke up so early on a Saturday morning. I was amazed. Anyway, I began to get ready to go to the convention about around almost 12. I prepared sandwiches, some fruit and drinks because I was money-less and was not able to buy anything. Besides, I only had 3 euros in my pocket and the food and snacks at the anime convention is usually very expensive, so a few euros would have definitely not been able to sustain me for the whole day at the convention. No way. Continue reading

We are all connected!

Hey all. How are you all doing? Lately I have been posting only once a week. I know… I have become a little bit lazy. 😛 But I’ll try to clean up my act and start back up with posting three times a week. Just be patient a little with me, please. 🙂

Anyway, recently when I was browsing through my Facebook news-feed I came across this interesting video that I wanted to share. It is about people from all walks of life, nationality and religion having their DNA tested to see where they have come from because many people do not think of questioning their heritage. Many people think they know where their roots are and where they came from but the DNA test done on them proves them wrong. Continue reading

Who you know vs. what you know

Hello everyone. How are you all? A close friend of mine and I would occasionally talk about how in this day and age it is all about who you know and not what you know. So today I wanted to make a brief post about the disadvantages of networking since we are only hearing the positives and advantages of networking.

From the first day I started college I have been told that having the right network is very important etc. etc. That is all fine and well because I also think having a good network is great but to a certain extent. When you get down to the nitty gritty of it all, a person must still be determined to do the job and must also have a certain level of competence to do the job. Or it defeats the purpose of networking, doesn’t it?  Continue reading

Really Look at Me!

Hello readers and followers. Have you ever felt sometimes like people are not truly looking at you and who you truly are but only looking at you from the surface? Well, this poem reflects how I have felt in the past and sometimes even now. Some people tend not to see the real you below the surface, which can be a real shame.
