Hello Tomodachi’s,

TGIF everyone! How are you this Friday afternoon? Some of you may be probably jumping for joy that you do not need to work for the weekends. People like me however, curse our luck to have jobs that require you to still work on the weekends. Although, to be honest I chose this job myself. šŸ¤”šŸ˜‚

Anyway, for those few people who still follow my blog and is interested in my poetry and writing, I have decided to cancel my poetry night I was thinking on doing January 28, until further notice. There are some things that are going on that I need to focus on and prioritise right now and the poetry night event is just not one of them. So until I get my S***t together I will let you know when I will try to host the poetry night.

So, I appologise for all the changing and cancelling I have been doing until now but please be patient with me. Until further notice, I hope you all take care and have a great day.

Hey Tomodachi’s,

Are you doing alright this blessed Tuesday. It is blessed Tuesday because every time we are fortunate enough to see another week we are not guaranteed it makes it a blessed day and a blessed week.

By the way, this post was originally made for Monday but since I was not able to post it on time yesterday I am posting it today.

Anyway, last Friday was a fun day if I do say so myself. I spent half of the day cooking a typical Antillian dish known as ‘Okra soup’ and ‘fungi’. I cooked with another (Dutch) Antilian like myself and it was our first attempt at making it. Though it did not come out tasting exactly as how my parents would make it, it was a great and very close first attempt. Not to mention, the way how my parents would make it was slightly different from how they would make it in Bonaire. So, we had a slight butting of heads at first on how to make it but in the end we worked together and everything worked out just fine.

Happy Belated Merry Christmas and New Year Everyone!

Hey Tomodachi’s,

How have you been these last few weeks during the holiday season? Have you started working on achieving your New Years resolution or has it already become a hopeless case? I have been doing alright so far and have not really started on trying to achieve my few New Years resolutions as yet. Besides working my butt off during the holiday season for my massage job I was also able to share some nice memories and food with some of my closest friends.

New Years Eve was also spent with friends drinking the night and early morning away in Amsterdam as we watched the ridiculous amount of firework displays. I do not even need to mention New Years Day. It was spent travelling by train to return to my city and regretting ever drinking as much as I did the night before.

I cannot believe that today makes exactly a week since the year 2018 began. We are already a week in 2018! Can you believe how quickly that week has passed! 2018, you just began where are you going?!

Anyway, I am wishing you all the best and hope great things come your way this new year. Have a blessed 2018 everyone!!

My Christmas Book Event is not going to happen after all…

Hello Tomodachis,

How have you all been? Do you remember last month I mentioned I was trying to organise my first poetry night for this coming Sunday, December 17th? Unfortately, I will not be able to do it because of a few personal circumstances. These circumstances include but does not limit to lack of financial capability, being busy with my massage job and being busy with my graduation thesis (Yes, I am still working on it and what of it, lol).

I have, however, rescheduled the date for January 28th. So, we shall see how it goes then. I also intend to live stream the video on Facebook, so keep a look out for that as well.
